Tric-Trac is a traditional game that goes by many names--"Shut-the-box" is probably the most popular, because it is descriptive of how the game is played on a traditional board (which is usually a tray for rolling dice with the numbers one through nine across the top. The numbers can be covered by hinged lids: "Shutting the box")

After each roll of the dice, choose numbers that equal the sum of the dice. The game is won when all the numbers are covered. The game is over when you can't match the the dice with the remaining numbers. (screen shot).
It's a simple game: 75% luck, 25% strategy. It's especially good to fill time when waiting for something else (like a long download, for example).
For parents, take note: The game is also a fun way for kids to practice basic addition. Kids don't realize they're practicing math--but they know that if the dice roll two fours and the eight is already covered, they can use the five and three becuase that also adds up to eight! ;-)
Blue Knot Tric-Tric also includes three variations. Tric-Trac 12 uses three dice and the numbers one through twelve. Triple-Trac and Triple-Trac 12 use three sets of numbers each (more choices, more strategy!)
What else do you need to hear? How about: It's FREE! Download it, play it, keep it, give it to a friend, whatever. No charge.
